The upcoming Naval Strike DLC for Battlefield 4 will be bringing the usual weapons, assignments and maps as well as a new gamemode known as Carrier Assault mode. The Carrier Assault mode will pay tribute to the Titan mode which was present in Battlefield 2142 - all the way back in 2006.

The main idea behind the original Titan mode was that the two opposing teams had their own warship - and it was your job to destroy the enemy's ship. The new carrier assault mode will be a "re-imaging" of the original gamemode.

You will also be able to get your hands on two new gadgets:

  • 3GL (3 grenade launcher) attachment for the Assault class
  • Anti-Heli Mine; an aircraft disabling projectile for the Engineer class

If you ever wanted to drive a hovercraft you will also be able to do that - thanks to the introduction of an amphibious hovercraft vehicle.

There will also be the usual 10 assignments ready and waiting for you to unlock!

Battlefield 4: Naval Strike is due out in Q2 of 2014 - with Premium members gaining access 2 weeks early.
