Codemasters are yet to announce their next DiRT game, which will presumably be DiRT 4, but according to Paul Coleman, the chief designer of the DiRT franchise, it will be more rally orientated.

A lot of fans have been crying out for the game to return to the more classic Colin McRae games on the PlayStation One, and we haven't had a really good one since Colin McRae 2.0 all the way back in 2000.

The guys over at VideoGamer.com noticed that Coleman had been talking to fans of the series on Twitter.

One user asked whether the new game can be more orientated as "Alot of us REALLY miss the Colin Mcrae games, longer point to point courses"

Coleman's response was simply "Yes it can and it will :D"

What do you guys think? Will they finally go back to something more like Colin McRae Rally 2.0, or will it still be the same drivel that the last two rally games have been?
