The ESRB have recently posted the rating for Resident Evil: Revelations 2 and it reveals that Barry Burton may well be a playable character.

DualShockers spotted that the rating mentions a "father searching for his daughter," and that they will be a playable character.

There is no official mention of the father's name, but the likely possibility is that it is the father of Moira Burton, a supporting character alongside Claire Redfield in Resident Evil: Revelations 2.

Capcom haven't commented on this yet and so nothing is confirmed currently. The game will be rated "M" for mature.

Combat is highlighted by screams of pain, realistic gunfire, and large blood-splatter effects. A handful of enemies are depicted with exposed organs, and one scene depicts an enemy having its hand cut off in slow-motion.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is set to be released in an episodic format, with episodes becoming available once a week.
