As expected with games, people have been pirating the newly released Far Cry 4, but they have inadvertently revealed this to Ubisoft.

Ubisoft have made sure that certain torrents of Far Cry 4 have an error where there are no field-of-view controls. The controls are available on legitimately purchased versions of the game but those that pirated it have to struggle with a picture that becomes blurry and distorted.

A number of players have been moaning about this glitch online and a developer at Ubisoft has come forward to reveal the true reason for the problem.

In a Tweet from the developer, he said that those complaining about the lack of FOV slider had pirated the game.

PC players! If you're online complaining about the lack of FOV control ... You pirated the game.

It is good to see the devs trying to fight back against piracy and it is always interesting reading about the different ways that they do this.

Thanks, GameSpot
