Need for Speed: Rivals is unplayable on PC at 60fps

The latest installment in the Need for Speed franchise is pretty much unplayable on PC when running at 60fps it would seem.

As the console version of the game has been locked to 30fps, the developers decided to tie the processing to the frame rate, which has disastrous consequences.

With the game running on the PC people are more than capable of running the game at more than double the intended frame rate. This causes complete chaos as evidenced by the video above which is ran at 60fps with all the graphical settings maxed out.

I thought we'd got past developers tying game processing to frame rates by now, but apparently not, long live the next-gen consoles!
