Nokia announces Lumia 1020, boasts 41-megapixel camera

Nokia have officially unveiled the Lumia 1020 today, which boasts a huge 41-megapixel camera. The Lumia 1020 reinvents zoom, enabling people to discover more detail than the eye can see. With Nokia's innovative PureView technology, including optical image stabilization, the device is able to produce some of the sharpest images possibly be any digital camera.

A new application called Nokia Pro Camera, makes it easy for anyone to take professional qualify images. The zoom capabilities enable people to discover and rediscover each story an image tells, both before and after it is taken. The software makes it easier than ever to capture and share photo and videos and visually see how each setting will affect the outcome of the photo.

The new camera features leading ZEISS optics with six physical lenses, and optical image stabilization, delivery crystal clear pictures even when there is very little light available. The new Nokia Rich Recording also enables you to capture and blur free videos with stereo sound even at the loudest concerts. The sound pressure the phone can handle is six times louder than conventional smartphone microphones.

That, that is one impressive camera on the back of that thing, no details on price have been revealed but I'm sure we'll see those popping up soon enough. Let us know what you think to it!
