The update to Final Fantasy XIII on Steam which was announced a last month has now got a release date of next week. The update to the game is set to include various different graphics options, including the ability to play in 1080p for the first time.

Square Enix announced the news via the game's community page, saying that they have been working hard to "improve your experience." The update is due for December 11th.

As mentioned recently, the Final Fantasy XIII team have been working hard to improve your experience on Steam and we're happy to announce that custom resolutions (720p, 1080p...) and graphic options will be added to the game from December 11th 2014.

The update is releasing on the same day that Final Fantasy XIII-2 is releasing on Steam, which will include all these graphics options and resolutions from the start.
