The ability to play through the campaign in co-op will return to Resident Evil: Revelations 2 after it was left out of the first game, but you will only be able to do so if you are in the same room as your mates.

Speaking to the producers of the game, 4gamer managed to find out that you will be able to switch between characters during the story mode and that co-op will be making a return but only in offline mode.

There will be no connection to the first game in the sense of a story, and it is said to be starting you off with a classic horror setting, leaving you with no weapons once you start the game.

I was quite disappointed to find out that the only online multiplayer in Resident Evil: Revelations was in the Raid mode, after initially buying the game so that I could play co-op instead of the single-player portion of the game.
