An update to Resident Evil 5 has just gone out today which adds Steamworks achievements to the game, however reports are saying that the Games for Windows Live portion is still present.

We reported a couple weeks ago that Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition had to delay its planned to move to Steamworks.
