Watch Dogs trademark abandoned by Ubisoft, is this the end or simply a name change?

What is going on with Watch Dogs? The upcoming open-world game has had one of half-a-dozen trademarks abandoned by Ubisoft themselves.

A NeoGAF forum member spotted that the trademark had been abandoned on February 1st, with none other than Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot filing the request.

Watch Dogs was the main trademark (U.S. Serial No. 85642398) and covers game software and electronic game programs. The five other trademarks that are still held by Ubisoft include "online computer games," game instruction manuals, toys, TV shows and theatrical performances, and clothing like pajamas and "infants' one-piece garments."

There is no official word from Ubisoft as of yet, and it could be a simple name change taking place. Hopefully this doesn't mean that the previously delayed game has been cancelled, hopefully.
